Summary:Trident is pleased to offer an opportunity for Business/Finance students to build real world professional experience. This Summer internship is expected to last 8 to 10 weeks and will support the growth of Trident's Pet and Health business while gaining essential early career skills and experiences. This internship is based at Trident Seafoods' Support Center in Seattle, WA, and will deliver focused improvement projects aimed at enhancing business insights, performance, and profitability. Working in office is required Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during core hours of operation.

Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs)

  • Learn the everyday rhythm of business and financial cadence of Trident's operations
  • Partner with Trident managers to gather information related to assigned projects
  • Plan, execute, and present assigned projects to Trident Business leaders
  • Apply key software and modeling skills that may include Power BI, SharePoint, Access, Teams, MS Approvals, Power Automate, Qlik Reporting, or other applications required to complete assigned projects

This is a temporary, non-exempt position with an hourly rate range of $21 to $25 per hour.Commuter and transit programs are available.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • Prior work and leadership experiences (including volunteer experiences)
  • Completed relevant coursework in the areas of Finance/Accounting/Mathematics/Business & Economics
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Teams, and Word
  • Currently pursuing a degree in finance/business/economics or related field at an accredited four-year educational institution
  • Ability to travel, as needed

Work environment (includes travel/on-call):

  • Hybrid role based in Seattle, WA

Physical demands:

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time at a desk. Frequently required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee will occasionally stand, walk, and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision for frequent use of a computer.

Work Environment

This hybrid position will be a combination of remote and onsite at the Trident Support Center office in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA. Our hybrid work environment includes remote work on Monday and Friday and in-office in the Support Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.
