Wieland is hiring a Production Planner Scheduler. The Production Planner Scheduler will work directly with the Production/Traffic to plan/schedule material from billets through traffic (Sales and Operations Planning). The objective of the position is to achieve Company goals, on-time performance, inventory levels and turns, operational costs, and delivery objectives. This role is located in Montpelier, OH and will be fully on-site.

Production Planner/Scheduler Responsibilities:

Team member for planning and scheduling the operation
• Adhere to inventory level and inventory turn objectives
• Insure plans/schedules meet customer order objectives
• Coordinate lead times with production, sales and traffic organizations to maximize sales, minimize operating costs, and minimize traffic/logistics costs
• Team member to support SAP infrastructure to support the organization (i.e. scheduling recipes, formulas, and routings)
• Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization
• Manage the C&T operation at Swanton Welding (Place orders and maintain inventory spreadsheet)
• Manage inventory and operations at the Seeger Warehouse (Danfoss, small diameter storage, etc)
• Responsible for ordering Specialty Products from Germany and small diameter from Korea (Issue PO's, enter Certs, and organize all paperwork to pay invoices)
• Backup role for the supply chain - raw material, production planning, and traffic
• All other duties as assigned
  

Production Planner/Scheduler Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in business/technical discipline preferred
• Three to five years' experience in logistics and production planning and scheduling preferred
• Strong planning and analytical abilities
