Job Posting:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting the Distribution Center in all areas related to the Human Resources function including but not limited to employee relations, policy implementation, payroll, recruitment, training and development, benefit and leave administration as well as the accurate and timely reporting of information to employees and management of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports Sr. HR Leadership & DC Management with development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align workforce with the strategic goals of the distribution center. Makes recommendations to management on employee related issues. Helps lead employment engagement process to include surveys, action plans, and engagement activities.
  • Ensures legal compliance in all areas. Maintains minimal company exposure to lawsuits. Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company policies and government laws & regulations. Assists with development and maintenance of policies for the DC. Partners with management to communicate HR policies & procedures. Conducts investigations on employee complaints and concerns. Makes recommendations on progressive discipline. Counsels managers on employment issues. Facilitates mandatory compliance training
  • Assists with the implementation of company safety and health programs. Takes an active role in health and safety committees. Tracks and posts OSHA-required data. Leads accident investigations and manages workers compensation claims. Works with management to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
  • Manages the recruitment process for the distribution center using effective recruiting strategies necessary to recruit and hire a superior and diverse workforce as well as maintain expected staffing levels. Maintains employee-related databases. Prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the DC as necessary or requested. Makes pay recommendations based on internal equity and established pay structures. Schedules and facilitates new hire orientations, and other new hire training.
  • Manage and ensures timely and accurate processing of the incentive payroll for the distribution center. Will oversee payroll team and work closely with corporate to meet tight payroll deadlines.

Experience/Education:

  • 3-5 years Human resources experience with a generalist focus
  • Knowledge of Employment Law/compliance and Employee Life Cycle Activities
  • Risk Management / Workers Comp
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Human Resources Management. If no degree, significant relevant experience
