The Role

Lumen is looking for People & Culture Managers who are guided by business needs and human values and drive outcomes by tying the business strategy with HR strategic goals. People & Culture Managers act as a reliable guide and expert on topics related to talent, such as: talent assessment and development, business transformation, and leadership and workforce strategy.

Work Location

This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary HR leader for SLT executive direct reports and VPs .
  • Build relationships with leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution.
  • Understand the business strategy and identify opportunities to increase alignment with the strategy by helping executive leaders identify, prioritize and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures and processes.
  • Align talent strategies Lumen/Org/BU priorities, support effective change management, partner with leaders to drive awareness and adoption of HR programs/processes
  • Act as a coach in relation to delivering the people strategy agenda.
  • Analyze workforce trends to model and forecast future labor requirements to support senior leaders in workforce planning and succession management.
  • Identify trends and talent concerns, recommend data-driven talent strategies at the BU level, use metrics to measure talent strategy progress, conduct and present org diagnostics re: talent and skill needs and priorities
  • Work with executive business leaders to develop and manage their long-term talent pipeline.
  • Review key business performance targets and related talent implications with executive business leaders.
  • Coach leaders to improve leadership abilities, relationships among teams/individuals and interpersonal communications, as well as deliver effective performance feedback.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Strong business acumen, and understanding of the industry
  • Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between talent and other HR initiatives and business strategy as well as deep knowledge of HR policies, processes (e.g., workforce planning and talent management) and talent management practices
  • Ability to identify new ways for HR to support the business strategy and develop clear, actionable steps in support of the overall business strategy
  • Ability to synthesize large quantities of quantitative and qualitative data, recognize trends, tie back to business priorities and develop recommendations based on data analysis
  • Strong partnership skills and the ability to influence aligned business unit or functional leader
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in a complex organizations
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$103,711 - $138,281 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY
$108,896 - $145,195 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$114,082 - $152,109 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
