Job Overview

Our Talent Acquisition Specialist works in a fast-paced environment and drives talent acquisition efforts to hire an inclusive workforce. This position leads and implements the talent acquisition initiatives including full life cycle recruiting; developing and implementing a broad based sourcing strategy; delivery of a talent pipeline near and long term; reporting on key metrics and establishing strong relationships within HR and Horizon Bank's leadership teams.


Duties

  • Partner with business leaders to recruit and hire a qualified and inclusive workforce.
  • Champion the onboarding experience for new hires and transfers.
  • Develop accurate ads using creative writing capability to attract candidates.
  • Represent Bank at job fairs and recruiting events.
  • Manage relationships with temporary agencies and recruiters.
  • Complete special projects and reporting.
  • Promote collaboration and effective communication across different levels of the organization.
  • Perform all work in compliance with established regulations, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and instructions.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protects bank by keeping information private and confidential.
  • Participate in ongoing skill, compliance, risk management and security training as required for the position and apply knowledge in daily tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
  • Minimum of 3 years Human Resources recruiting experience required, corporate recruiting preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the use of a variety of recruitment resources, such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
  • Individual must display a passion for the talent acquisition function with a focus on inclusion.
  • Knowledge of Affirmative Action requirements preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and applicant tracking systems required.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organization, time management and follow-up skills and teamwork.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, advisors and outside service providers. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization including C-suite executives.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and a wide range of procedures requiring sound judgment.
