Essential Functions: Event Setup and Breakdown: Detailed setup of event spaces, including linens, table settings, and decorations. Efficient breakdown of food and beverage service areas. Table and chair setup as required. Food and Beverage Service: Buffet attending and plated meal service. Bussing tables and clearing dishes. Restocking and returning equipment to assigned locations. Guest Interaction: Providing high-quality customer service. Maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to the dress code. Operational Duties: Polishing glassware and silverware. Proper linen setup. Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in all work areas. Operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, coffee machines, blenders, and dumbwaiters. Location Flexibility: Working in various Schweitzer Mountain Resort venues, including The Sky House, outdoor locations, and The Lakeview Lodge. Working in outdoor festival tents. Scheduling: Availability on most Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Availability during Schweitzer festival weekends, including Labor Day Weekend. Uniform Standards: Strict adherence to the banquet uniform standards. Physical Demands: Prolonged standing and walking (up to 10 hours per shift, with breaks as available). Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting of over 50 pounds. Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, twisting, and reaching above shoulder level. Use of hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Work environment: Approximately 60% indoor. All sensory skills are required. Other Responsibilities: Knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and activities. Other duties as assigned. Job Specifications: Skills: Detail-oriented. Ability to multitask. Efficiency. Cleanliness. Education: Knowledge of banquet menus. Proficiency in English reading, writing, and communication. Basic math skills. Knowledge of Idaho State Liquor and identification laws. Experience: Minimum of six months to one year of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence. License/Certification: Alcohol Awareness Training (may be acquired during employment). Machines/Tools Operated: Blender, coffee machine, dishwasher, dumbwaiter, knife, taps, regulators, cash register, and Micros ordering system.
