As a Patient Access Representative, you will be able to provide patient services in an Ophthalmology Department. You will be exposed to one of Boston's top healthcare systems, offering immediate, impactful professional medical experience. *Work Model*: Onsite 5 days a week *Location*: Boston, MA *Pay Rate*: $22-24/HR *Depending on Experience* *Schedule*: Monday-Friday *Shifts*: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM *Employee Value*: *401k, Medical, Dental, Vision insurance *Exposure - long-term opportunity to break into one of Boston's most established health systems *Career growth - endless opportunities for upward movement and promotions within the organization, and exploring various departments *Job Description*: *The Patient Access Representative performs functions that enhance patient access and increase revenue to the clinic. *Advises patients regarding insurance coverage and financial obligations, completes registration and scheduling of patients in the automated registration /scheduling system, and collects payments. *Review and update patient registration and demographic information. *Verifies and scans insurance information at time of service to ensure appropriate and complete information has been obtained. *Acknowledges patients arriving to the department. *Utilizes scheduling systems for many types of appointments. *Qualifications*: *1-2 Years of previous healthcare front desk/customer service experience *Must have EMR experience (Cerner, Athena, ECW, etc.) *Excellent written and verbal communication skills & good computer skills *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
