Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receives general instructions but gets specific direction as needed. An error in troubleshooting or repair could disrupt flow of work in this or other departments while waiting for corrected repair. Error could involve loss of time and delay of operations. Interpersonal ContactsDeals with people in other departments internally as well as external contacts. Participates in solving problems within department and other internal departments. Contacts are made via phone, face-to-face and occasionally electronically. Disclosure of confidential data accessible to this job would have adverse effects internally and externally, and could result in losses to HB Fuller. Specific Job SkillsCapability of working on multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to organize workload, determine priorities and monitor and meet deadlines. Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, internet software, databases, PLCs, email). Ability to work well with all level of employees whether individually or in a team environment. Must be able to interface and communicate with line operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting. Knowledge of proper use of electrical test equipment, power tools and hand tools. Strong attention to detail. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical periodicals, technical procedures, blueprints, schematics, assembly drawings and governmental regulations. Ability to write basic reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment and responsibility in performing job duties. QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The candidate must have a state of Washington maintenance electrical license (EL07) or higher. Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field. 8-10 years proven experience in the manufacturing field performing multi-craft functions including electrical, welding, HVAC, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, specifications, electrical codes, and UL Standards. 5+ years experience in electrical controls with particular emphasis on knowledge of motor and process controls. Mental and Physical RequirementsMental activities require continuous problem analysis, initiative, and teamwork; frequently using interpersonal skills, creativity, decision-making, basic and advanced math, and independent judgment and/or independent action; occasionally preparing and delivering presentations and training. Physical activities require continuous hearing and feeling; frequent talking, fingering, bending, handling, reaching, grasping, walking, and standing; occasional kneeling, climbing, sitting and repetitive motions of hands/wrists; rarely crawling and stooping. Position may carry and lift up to 75 lbs. Position requires continuous visual demand 75% - 100% of the time. Occasional exposure to general office environment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $31.50-$45.00.In addition to your salary, H.B.
