About the role:

We're seeking an experienced Staff Data Scientist to join the Dragos Engineering team. In this role, you'll collaborate with other developers to implement and operationalize cutting-edge AI/ML capabilities within our Dragos platform. You will help transform our product's capabilities by designing and deploying innovative data-driven techniques that enhance threat detection, automate analysis workflows and provide actionable intelligence to our customers.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct exploratory data analysis on unique Industrial Control System (ICS) / Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity data including threat detections, prioritized alerts, discovered vulnerabilities, security operations team metadata and raw network collection.
  • Create datasets and models for recommendation systems, risk prioritization and automated classification systems.
  • Develop innovative approaches for analyzing, correlating, and contextualizing security event data into valuable insights using statistical methods, natural language processing and other machine learning techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to operationalize AI/ML that address real customer challenges delivered within Dragos products and services.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as a Data Scientist working in production environments with demonstrable impact on real-world products and services.
  • Proven track record of shipping AI/ML-powered features in fielded products or services.
  • Strong expertise in Python and data analysis and machine learning libraries (e.g. pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, Llama, etc.), or similar experience in R.
  • Experience with modern NLP techniques, including transformers and large language models.
  • Proficiency in developing and deploying machine learning pipelines in production environments.
  • Understanding of data engineering principles and experience working with diverse data sources.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
