Compensation Grade: M18Compensation Details: Minimum: $66,048.00 - Maximum: $66,048.00 AnnuallyDepartment (OC) DOA - Division of AdministrationJob Description: Responsibilities The Project Specialist will assess and evaluate ergonomics for the New York State Department of Health's (NYS DOH) Capital District offices and provide liaison support to outer offices needing ergonomic assistance. The incumbent will make recommendations toward ergonomic equipment policies; maintain and monitor the NYS DOH Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Database for accuracy, monitor and process requests for PPE, perform reviews of PPE for quality assurance; monitor PPE distribution for DOH sites via OGS warehouse liaison; maintain the Job Duty Survey Program by processing incoming DOH/Wadsworth surveys that screen for potential occupational exposures, evaluating received surveys, processing surveys and tracking at-risk employees within the Immunization Database for policy adherence for all applicable staff; coordinate and supervise statewide immunization clinics to ensure employees within immunization database are within policy requirements for at-risk program and perform other appropriate related duties. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience working on projects or closely related project experience; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a field related to public health policy and emergency preparedness; knowledge of OSHA/PESH regulations. Customer service experience. Conditions of Employment Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, up to 25% of the time, may be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
