Within Azure Data, the databases team builds and maintains Microsoft's operational Database systems. We store and manage data in a structured way to enable multitude of applications across various industries. We are on a journey to enable developer friendly, mission-critical, AI enabled operational Databases across relational, non-relational and OSS offerings. Azure Databases Security and Compliance team is hiring a Principal Group Product Manager to lead strategic security initiatives and data governance strategies across all database products. In this role, you will guide a team of product managers in defining and executing innovative security solutions while ensuring Azure Databases meet the highest standards for compliance and data protection. ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic direction in identifying long-term investment opportunities in security and data governance. Lead our team in planning security investments, functional specs, and driving scenario walkthroughs. Assess and evaluate emerging trends in IT security, information protection, data governance, and A.I. Coach our team of product managers to define business impact of security across the Azure Database organization and establish clearly defined success criteria. Foster a data driven culture in the team by collecting performance metrics and forming hypotheses to measurably improve product development. Promote security with customers at conferences, workshops, and in meetings with analysts. Embody our culture and values
