OverviewThe M365 Core Design Studio is looking for a Principal Product Designer to help shape AI-powered user experiences that span the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. In this role, you will drive design strategy and execution for key product areas, applying your deepexpertisein user-centered design, systems thinking, and cross-functional collaboration. You'lljoin a globally distributed team of passionate designers, engineers, and product managers committed to delivering experiences that empower people around the world to achieve more. This is a senior individual contributor role-while youwon'thave direct reports, you will lead by influence, set direction, and drive clarity across complex initiatives. Success in this role requires the ability to work across a wide network of stakeholders, organizational boundaries, and leadership teams to create coherence, alignment, and momentum across multiple efforts. ResponsibilitiesLead the design and prototyping of end-to-end user experiences, focusing on AI-driven solutions across multiple M365 products and platforms. Define experience frameworks and design systems that scale across screens, scenarios, and user needs. Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and research teams to deliver high-quality, user-centered outcomes. Navigate ambiguity and shifting requirements with a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Drive asynchronous and cross-time zone collaboration using tools and processes that promote visibility and feedback. Share early work visually and iteratively to generate clarity and build momentum. Help mentor and support other designers, setting a high bar for craft, innovation, and user advocacy. Champion the value of design throughout the organization.
