Role Mission We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety Intern to join our team in the electric motor repair and distribution industry. This internship provides hands-on experience in workplace safety and environmental compliance while supporting the day-to-day operations of our shop teams. This position will report to the Human Resources Manager. Key Job Responsibilities Assist in the development and updates to policies and procedures Assist in conducting safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and company regulations Aid in the development and delivery of safety training materials and presentations Maintain safety records and documentation, including ensuring the SDS information is the most up to date Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks Support incident investigations and help prepare reports and corrective actions Perform research on safety regulations, trends and best practices Assist with other department projects as necessary. Competencies Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset Ability to work independently and in a team environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Keys to Success Core Values: This person lives out our 6 Kurz company core values well.
