Job Title: CDL-A Truck Driver - Grocery Delivery
Location: Sussex - (routes start in Sussex, WI and deliver to various grocery stores in WI and IL
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL-A Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of grocery orders from our distribution center to various grocery store chains. This position requires strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and a commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to deliver grocery products to assigned retail locations.
  • Load and unload freight using pallet jacks or other equipment as required.
  • Verify and inspect delivery contents for accuracy and condition.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain required signatures and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and store personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
  • Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent CDL-A driving experience (preferably in grocery or food delivery).
  • Ability to operate lift gates, pallet jacks, and other loading equipment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] and perform physical tasks associated with delivery.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
Schedule:
  • Typical schedule starts at 1:00pm and ends when the route is complete. Routes generally last from 8-10 hours and are done 3x/week.
