Overview of this Position:

The logistics specialist performs essential tasks related to shipment of finished product, client samples, and coordinating inbound freight. This position will work primarily in a warehouse environment. The duties will include verifying products, packages and documentation for shipment, and transfer activity between multiple facilities.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Packaging, Operations or related business field or comparable work experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • HAZMAT certified.
  • Cold Chain experience.
  • International shipping experience.
  • Experience using an inventory management system.
  • CDL C license.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Verify documentation, stage product for shipment, load trailers for shipment. May include development or supporting shipping studies or packaging development as dedicated by product needs.
  • Check outgoing product carefully for integrity, completeness, and condition of product packaging. Report and correct discrepancies as directed.
  • Coordinate international shipping transactions with exporter.
  • Coordinate inter-site material and product transfers.
  • Coordinate external shipments to customer directed destination sites.
  • Record selected material inventory in accordance with standard operating procedures using accurate Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Achieve certification in the use of applicable material handling vehicles (Forklift and pallet jacks).
  • As needed:
  • Unload, verify, and stage deliveries for put-away, including accurate execution of associated documentation.
  • Aid with driving company owned vehicles.
  • Track the finished goods inventory at warehouse.
