Scale Attendant/Billing Clerk

Recycling Works is looking for an Scale Attendant/Billing Clerk to join the team at our recycling facility in Kokomo, Indiana. Previous waste experience would be a huge plus!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the landfill.

• Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.

• Calculate payments for customers.

• Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.

• Approach all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

• Process sales orders from our proprietary ARES software system into our operating system for new starts, cancellations, service changes and pricing changes.

• Calculate credit/debit adjustments as needed for pro ration credits/debits.

• Process billings for all lines of business.

• Run error checking reports and work with districts to ensure data integrity.

• Bill customers using third party portals when necessary.

• Ensure that statements are sent in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy to minimize calls to district customer service.

• Work with other departments to ensure correct billing.

• Other job related duties as assigned

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel

• Must have flexible availability to include weekends
