The salary pay grade range is $24.31 to $34.06 Hours for this position are M-F 7am-3:30pm E.A. Sween is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Minority/Female/Veteran/Disability Summary: The Maintenance Parts Coordinator is responsible to ensure parts are available when needed, manage inventories of all maintenance and manufacturing repair parts, performs cycle counts of parts and is responsible for operating within policies & procedures of the organization. 1. Safety
Demonstrate a solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for the various areas of the plant. Including bringing equipment, tools, etc.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe and organized workspace
Demonstrate safe work habits by following all safety rules and general plant rules
Wear Personal Protection Equipment: Cut resistant gloves, hard hats while in Production, or safety glasses and specific protective equipment-based task being done
Successfully complete the mandatory E.A. Sween Safety quarterly safety training
2. Parts Coordinator II:
Fill out all department paperwork correctly and timely
Order and receive parts for production equipment and the facility using CMMS
Setup new parts in CMMS
Order appropriate parts based on consumption and planned work (communicating with Planner)
Establish, improve and/or maintain cycle count process for at least all 'A' priority parts and consumables
Edit as needed based on feedback from Mechanics
Display an advanced knowledge and ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, blue prints, P&IDs, etc.
Display a basic knowledge of tools, methods and skills required to complete maintenance activities
Display a basic knowledge of components (how they work, what they do, where used on our equipment, etc.)
Display a knowledge of parts coordinating principles, practices, methods and tools
Ability to set priorities, work independently and coordinate multiple activities
Ability to maintain attention to detail and complete activities in a timely manner despite interruptions and changing priorities
Work with external vendors and/or contractors to locate parts; find alternate vendors as needed
Provide leadership in keeping maintenance spend at or below budgeted amount
Assist culture change to a more stable maintenance environment (move away from fire-fighting culture)
Must maintain good attendance, GMP and Safety records
3. Quality
Have an understanding of SQF Level 3 (Food Safety & Quality)
Have an understanding of regulatory & customer requirements
Have an understanding of HACCP plans
Understand your responsibility in protecting the safety and quality of our food through proper GMPs
Report any questionable product to the QA, Supervisor or QC
4. Teamwork
Assist in providing a friendly, positive work environment. Show respect for all other co-workers. Get along with all co-workers.
Ability to accept work instructions & complete requests from co-workers
Ability to accept feedback from others relating to parts stock, organization, etc.
Provide input and feedback on department updates, status, changes, etc.

Effectively train others on Parts Process requirements and expectations as needed
Complete other duties as assigned
5. Continuous Improvement
Understand general principles and goals of EAS Continuous Improvement/LEAN program
Participate in a cost reduction project, TIGER team or other LEAN event
Identify and help execute cost savings of at least $25,000
6. Standard Work
- Demonstrate the mastery of the following standard work processes
- Understand and be able to complete advanced functions of the Parts Coordinator function utilizing CMMS
Create new part
Maintain key parts inventory levels
Cycle Count consumables on a periodic basis
Develop and improve CMMS infrastructure
Begin to take ownership of Storeroom layout
Work with vendors to decrease parts costs
Understand and be able to complete basic functions of Maintenance Planner job utilizing CMMS
Create a Work Order
Schedule work orders to employees
Add new equipment
Work with mechanics and others to understand effectiveness of current parts process
Actively request feedback
Address common gaps noted
Completely & correctly complete all required paperwork for the department
Track and report key Maintenance metrics
REQUIREMENTS: A. Must have High School education or equivalent B. Must have experience in parts ordering, storing, and inventory control position(s). C. Must have high level of organizational skills and the ability to operate independently and as part of a team D. Must have strong computer skills; Excel experience required E. Must be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal, teambuilding and leadership skills F. Good troubleshooting and problem resolution skills. G. Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends as required. H. Must be able to lift 50lbs. I. Must be willing to be in production areas of approximately 40 degrees up to 20% of the time J. Cross-cultural competence; must have effective and respectful interactions with people from any culture or place of origin PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
