Job Overview

The Central Investigations Analyst is an hourly position responsible for analyzing shortage and cargo theft data to support Supply Chain Asset Protection investigations and loss mitigation.

What You Will Do



  • Analyze and compile comprehensive shortage and cargo theft data/reports for field investigators and Asset Protection senior leadership.
  • Support the preparation of cargo theft case presentations for law enforcement and prosecutors.
  • Maintain detailed records of all findings, results, and data related to investigations.
  • Create and build out dashboard reporting for key KPI's.
  • Implement and execute shrink reduction practices.
  • Communicate with field investigators and Asset Protection teams across the supply chain network to effectively increase awareness on shrink reduction initiatives and procedures
  • Surveillance, including the use of CCTV, to help document and build cases of suspected theft, fraud, and Company policy violations.
  • Partner with store and field Asset Protection teams to investigate and resolve concealed shortage and pilferage issues
  • Support the presentation of completed investigations to Asset Protection senior leadership.
  • Partner with law enforcement and company legal personnel when necessary.
  • Organize evidence and materials for use in criminal cases and testify in court of law when necessary.
  • Strict adherence to Company policies, procedures, initiatives, and maintain high integrity and confidentiality standards.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • Any other function management deems essential.


Skills You Will Need



  • Prior Asset Protection experience in a distribution center environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems, FLO and Receiving systems.
  • PC knowledge, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Understanding of technology EDI, ASN and Direct Scan.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Resourceful self-starter, who works well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to relate and communicate with all socioeconomic levels.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.


Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 3-5 years of direct experience.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision and the ability to sustain extended periods of CCTV and/or PC screens to facilitate surveillance or analysis.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs.
