Overview

Summary:

Prepare and assemble electronic components and hybrid assemblies of semi-routine complexity in a clean room setting by using blueprint drawing, diagrams, manufacturing processes and procedures; work is performed under a microscope and by means of using small hand tools, bonding machines, welders and process equipment, the major process procedures include substrate attach, die attach, mechanical assembly, gap weld, wire bond and pull test.


Responsibilities

  • Research the most current drawing in an Enterprise-wide system such as Agile PLM or SAP; verify accuracy, revision and affectivity of drawing and update it in traveler, if applicable.
  • Clean electronic components and assemblies per CAES by Honeywell and procedures prior to starting the work order.
  • View parts through microscope; assemble components and assemblies using small hand tools such as tweezers, oilers, hot plates and solder irons, solder pots.
  • Review assembly drawings, traveler, and process procedures for instruction per specific component; verify received parts are accurate according to drawing parts list.
  • Visually inspect work completed for accuracy and quality prior to release
  • Communicate assembly related issues to lead and supervisor verbally or in writing as an option.
  • Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices; maintains clean and safe workstation.
  • Improve and maintain 5S in your area; make suggestions for improvements.
  • Prepare parts by pre-tinning, cutting to proper length, separating & forming as applicable to part/component.
  • Collaborate in team meetings and activities, including SET team support as appropriate.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Perform work of semi-routine nature, requiring occasional decisions in judgment, normally following established procedures on routine work, requires instructions on new work to meet company workmanship and criteria.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Three (3) year of related experience required, previous experience using small hand tools such as tweezers, calipers, smart tweezers, and microscopes, required; detail-oriented with good manual and eye dexterity; working knowledge of at least two (2) of the major processes used in Filter Assembly, required.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

Preferred:

  • High School or GED equivalent, desirable.
  • 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Excel.

Salary Range: $21.38/hr - $33.90/hr (San Diego, CA).

Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
