Coordinator, Human Resources (Compensation)

Job Summary

This position is part of AMC's Compensation team, supporting key initiatives that help ensure our pay practices are fair, consistent, and aligned with business goals. In this role, you'll combine your analytical skills and attention to detail with a service-oriented approach, helping to maintain data accuracy, support compliance, and respond to compensation-related questions from across the organization.

This position is based in Leawood, Kansas, and does not have remote elgibility.

What you will be doing:

  • Support Compensation programs for both corporate and field teams through accurate administration and coordination.
  • Partner with HR team members and other stakeholders across the company in delivering day-to-day tasks and project-based initiatives.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to compensation-related inquiries from both theatre and corporate associates.
  • Deliver cyclical and ad hoc reporting by identifying appropriate data sources, analyzing trends, and presenting insights clearly and accurately.
  • Review and analyze current compensation practices and policies recommending solutions to drive efficiencies within the organization.
  • Solve problems by weighing multiple inputs and delivering practical solutions that align with broader HR strategies.
What we need from you:
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in compensation, human resources or related field.
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and policies, particularly those connected to compensation.
  • Strong analytical skills-you enjoy working with numbers, spotting trends, and using data to tell a story or support a recommendation.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot table, lookups, formulas).
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate work.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities effectively.
  • Ability to synthesize and distill findings and actionable insights from large data sets.
  • Effective planning, follow-up, and organization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
What we also value (preferred):
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a HR role (internships included).
  • Desire to expand knowledge in both the compensation discipline and the wider HR function.
  • Experience with compensation surveys, pay structures, or market benchmarking.
