Position Overview
Riverside Research is seeking a full-time Space ISR Subject Matter Expert (SME) & Instructor to support the United States Space Force (USSF), Space Operations Command (SpOC) at Peterson SFB and Schriever SFB, CO. The ISR Instructor/SME will be a key member of a team providing advice and assistance across a wide range of intelligence programs and will include development and instruction of space intelligence curriculum. This individual will provide subject matter expertise in the establishment, administration, and operation of ISR units to include a focus on training, intelligence analytic tradecraft, strategic planning, and integration.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver in-person classroom instruction on topics such as critical thinking, mission planning, analytic writing, targeting and Space ISR fundamentals * Guide development of operational & tactical training programs to include Initial Qualification Training (IQT)/Mission Qualification Training (MQT) and position-specific job qualification standards * Support development of initial operating capability (IOC) and full operational capability (FOC) definitions and milestones for Space Operations Command (SpOC) intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance squadrons * Draft foundational documents to meet United States Space Force (USSF) Concept of Operations (CONOP) and assigned unit mission essential tasks (MET); this includes concept of employment (CONEMP); related tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), as well as supporting manuals and operating instructions * Recommend organizational structure; roles and responsibilities; and policy to enable CONEMP and TTP implementation * Explore new tools and processes to advance space intelligence missions; facilitate demonstration and evaluation of potential solutions * Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with mission partners across the intelligence community (IC), USSF, and Department of Defense (DoD) * Facilitate enduring or one-time meetings, working groups, or tiger teams as needed; prepare minutes, track status of various projects, draft white papers/briefings and present recommendations to decision makers as required * Assist unit leadership with strategic planning and integration across the USSF, DoD, and IC * Research & develop courses of action and draft policy documents for unit challenges; assist in the implementation of strategic initiatives or plans * Provide technical and experiential insights across a wide range of intelligence programs and analytical problems * Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required * Active Top Secret clearance with SCI adjudication * Bachelor's degree in Intelligence, Business Administration, Accounting, History, Political Science, Engineering, or related technical fields * Minimum 10 years' experience working within the DoD, IC, and/or Space Mission Area as an ISR SME to include all-source analysis and reporting * USAF/USSF Qualification as a 14N/1NX- Intelligence professional (or other service equivalent) * Experience developing training curriculum and instructing in a classified environment * Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented responsible team player capable of interacting with senior leaders within the USSF, DoD and IC * Effective/efficient written/verbal communication skills; proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel * Available for occasional travel Desired * Experience with USSF organizations, mission, roles, and responsibilities * Recognized ISR SME within areas of interest to the USSF * Experience in SpOC/Air Force Space Command, Space Training & Readiness Command (STARCOM) and/or Air Education & Training Command (AETC) * Basic Instructor Course/Basic Instructor Space Course attendance or advanced instructorship * Experience instructing analytic tradecraft, such as critical thinking, structured analysis, and analytic writing * Master's degree in Intelligence, Business Administration, Accounting, History, Political Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical fields * Experience as a Squadron/Delta/Field Commander or senior enlisted leader * Intelligence Weapons Instructor Course (IWIC) or Advanced Instructor Course (AIC) graduate from the United States Air Force Weapons School * Joint Targeting School (JTS), Combat Targeting Course (CTC), or Target Analyst certifications * Assignment to or deployments in support of a Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) * Professional military education commensurate with rank
