This position is located in Upper Marlboro, MD.

The core working hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

QUALITY MANAGER

The Quality Manager will develop, implement and oversee a complete Quality Management System (QMS) program at the various contract site locations. The incumbent is responsible for identifying and correcting problems throughout the entire scope of operations and ensuring that work performed conforms to contract requirements. The incumbent will act as a liaison with Site Quality team, Melwood's Facilities Management Services team, and internal staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

*1. Develop, implement and oversee the QMS plan at the contract site.

*2. Document work processes, procedures, and output measures.

*3. Assess compliance with performance objectives and standards.

*4. Schedule and perform inspections and surveillance.

*5. Document and maintain a file of quality inspections and surveillance conducted throughout the execution of work.

*6. Develop plan for preventative action and continuous improvement.

*7. As necessary, take assessment-driven corrective action and make process adjustments in a timely manner.

*8. Oversee services provided by subcontractors.

9. Other duties as assigned.

*Essential Functions

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: The incumbent is supervised by the Melwood Vice President, Facility Management Services.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS

The incumbent must be able to stand 80% of the work time and sit 20%, must be able to lift / carry 50 pounds and push / pull 50 pounds.

These requirements are necessary in order to complete facilities and grounds and operate applicable equipment. He / she must be able to climb, stoop, kneel and reach in order to climb stairs and clean high and low areas; must be able to communicate both orally and in writing with supervisors, staff, co-workers, etc. Seeing and depth perception are required in order to inspect work areas.

QUALIFICATIONS BA/BS in a related field and a minimum of five years' experience in the quality control/quality assurance or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A minimum of three years in a lead role or management position. Proficiency in drafting and implementation of quality management plans. Strong technical and observation skills and attention to detail are necessary. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications and extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication. Must be able to work days, evenings and weekends. Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a "secret" clearance.
