Emergency Room & Express Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Porter Medical

Currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Porter Medical Center to provide coverage between the Emergency Room and Express Care departments. This is a full-time, 40 hour a week exempt position that will be scheduled in 10 - 12 hours shifts, days only, no nights. Some weekends are expected. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and work well autonomously.

Porter Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Middlebury, Vermont. As the second largest employer in Addison County, we consider our employees to be our greatest resource. The Emergency Department has 10-12 beds with approximately 10,000 visits annually. We have an admission/transfer rate of 12% and enjoy in-house support from subspecialties including OB, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Urology, and non-invasive Cardiology. We admit adult patients to a hospitalist service and we have a LTC/Post-Acute Rehab facility on campus. Radiology services include 24/7 CT, on-call ultrasound availability and daylight/weekday hours for MRI. We are located 35 miles south of UVM Medical Center and have seamless EMS protocols in place for rapid transfer of our sickest patients.

Requirements:

• NP/PA graduated from accredited program

• 1-year Urgent Care experience preferred

• BLS

• ACLS

• Active State license in good standing

salary range: $118,199.57- $165,479.40
