The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Pay Range: $73,100.00 - $120,600.00Job Description Job Profile Summary: Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Ensure the quality of processes and procedures in the Performance Evaluation division and provide responsive assistance and monitoring to Mentors and Evaluators in a timely manner. * Ensure Supervisor oversight of Performance Evaluation efforts to make certain that evaluations are accurate, timely and in accordance with applicable University policies, including but not limited to Academic Authenticity, Articulation of Response and FERPA. * Ensure Supervisor oversight of the practices implemented to respond to evaluation concerns in a timely and appropriate manner, as well as provide responsive support for any other student issues that come through Ptask, E-Care and other sources. * Ensure effective management of relationships with outside partners, including but not limited to Taskstream, Webassessor and Caveon. * Proactively lead quality and project initiatives to support departmental goals using cross-functional efforts and best practices as applicable. * Oversee activities required to monitor and correct issues related to platform access assessment version control and student assessment attempts. * Oversee the Academic Authenticity and Articulation procedures of the Performance Evaluation division. * Formally supervise all direct reports. * Abide by policies and procedures to maintain compliance with FERPA regulations. * Abide by policies established by the WGU Human Resources department. * Notify Director of Performance Evaluation of planned absences ahead of time. Two week's notice is expected for extended time away (longer than 48 hours) so that adequate coverage can be arranged. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skill and Abilities: * Understanding and appreciation of competency-based education model. * Well-developed knowledge of quality management, organizational excellence, and project management best practices. * Excellent leadership, management, and team-building skills. * Fluent with performance-based measurement practices and procedures. * Familiarity with higher education assessment policies, issues, and practices. * Well-developed task analysis and instructional design skills. * Proficient use of educational technological platforms and common office software packages. * Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills. * Able to spend significant time working at a computer and on the telephone. Leadership and Talent Management: * Manages/Supervises a team of professionals. Manages the work of assigned employees and/or supervisors who generally exercise some latitude and independence in their assignments. Ensures proper training of team members, and participates in hiring, firing, and promotion decisions. Conducts performance reviews and may recommend salary reviews. * May complete assignments that are technical in manner in addition to supervising others. Job Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: * University Degree - 5 years specific experience in quality, operations, and project management - 3-5 years Management experience - 3+ years of experience in administration, educational measurement, or a related field * Requires broad management knowledge to lead the department. Generally, has advanced level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the University. Department Specific Minimum Qualifications: * A minimum of 3 years of experience in administration, educational measurement, or a related field.
