The Director of Strategic Nonprofit Engagement is a trusted advisor, dedicated to driving efficiency and enhancing information and decision-making processes. We are seeking a leader experienced in guiding cross-functional teams, facilitating communication, and unifying individuals across organizations. This leader will be a part of the global Nonprofit senior sales leadership team, consistently focusing on strategies to significantly drive performance, impact, cross-functional accountability, and growth. Role Description:
  • Lead the formation of internal councils to ensure collaboration, alignment, and accountability with our most strategic business partners across Product, Marketing, Success, Alliances, and Enablement.
  • Harness the full power of Salesforce to drive customer success and growth through an Executive Alignment Program. This program matches Salesforce employees passionate about social impact with our top global Nonprofit customers.
  • Liaise with the global resell team on global indirect partner strategies.
  • Drive growth through indirect go-to-market strategies.
  • Oversee global alignment across the Nonprofit business and our internal partners within Government Affairs, Philanthropy, Sustainability, Equality, Climate, and Volunteerism and the CEO office.
  • Establish a global customer advisory board to better empathize with and understand our customers.
  • Evaluate and incubate new strategies to enhance growth across our global Nonprofit business.
Requirements:
  • Experience growing indirect ecosystems/partnerships: Candidates should have a proven track record in developing and expanding partnerships or ecosystems. This includes identifying potential partners, negotiating agreements, and managing relationships to mutual benefit.
  • Experience with nonprofit organizations: The candidate should have a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector, including its unique challenges and opportunities. Experience could include working directly for a nonprofit, consulting, or serving in a board or volunteer capacity. Demonstrated experience providing legal guidance to nonprofit organizations.
  • Experience with building cross-functional alignment within Fortune 50 companies: The candidate should have experience in fostering collaboration and alignment across different departments within large, complex organizations. This includes understanding how to navigate corporate hierarchies, manage stakeholders, and drive consensus on strategic initiatives.
  • Experience analyzing investment opportunities that can result in a material impact: The candidate should have a strong background in financial analysis, particularly in evaluating investment opportunities. This includes understanding how to assess risk, project potential returns, and make recommendations that can significantly impact the organization's bottom line.
  • Proven track record of sales excellence working as an Individual Contributor and working in a team environment: The candidate should have a history of achieving or exceeding sales targets, both as an individual and as part of a team. This includes the ability to manage sales pipelines, close deals, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment in high growth mode: The candidate should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment that requires quick adaptation to change. They should be able to manage their workload independently, but also collaborate effectively with a team. Additionally, the candidate should have proven experience in managing and leading a team, with a track record of setting clear goals as well as with the ability to guide the team through changes in strategy, structure, and/or processes.
  • Superior professional presence and business acumen: The candidate should have a strong professional demeanor and the ability to represent the organization effectively in various settings. They should also have a keen understanding of business principles and be able to make sound decisions that align with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Ability to travel as needed: The candidate should be willing and able to travel as required by the role. This could include travel for client meetings, conferences, or internal events. The frequency and extent of travel will depend on the specific needs of the role.

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, Salesforce will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $177,600 to $257,600. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $177,600 to $257,600. For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $161,500 to $234,300. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
