*** Sign On Bonus $5,000*** (External Applicants only must have RN >1yr) (3yr commitment) 8 or 10 hr shifts available - start time flexibility 7am or 830am The Procedural Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing. Qualifications Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA); Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Advanced cardiac life support ( ACLS) should be within 6 months. Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Course _ Oncology Nursing Society within 1 year. ; Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA), Education: College Diploma: Nursing, Work Experience: RN>1yr Responsibilities Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.Performs advanced nursing activities, which can include assisting with procedures using conscious sedation, placement of IV's, and administering chemotherapy drugs.Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.Identifies, assesses and diagnose problems through patient assessment and interactions, and evaluates actual or potential health problems.Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in the development of departmental standing orders.Administer chemotherapy IV fluids via peripherally inserted catheters.Serves as a resource person to staff in the clinic as appropriate. Participates in patient, family, and staff teaching. Adheres to hospital and department policy and procedures. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $29per hour - $49.88per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
