Overview

Position will assist the VP-CFH Patient Care and CNO with cultivating a nursing environment within the Bloomington/Normal region that facilitates retention of nursing staff. The focuses of those activities will be in facilitating and coordination of ANCC program document submissions. supporting the execution of the Carle Health Professional Practice Model into Bloomington/Normal Region, including professional governance, professional development, and keeping patients, family, community, team members and the self at the center of decision making. Assists with all aspects of professional governance, nursing recognition, nursing scholarships, nurse acuity, Magnet, PTAP, team member wellbeing initiatives, and professional development activities.


Qualifications

Certifications: National Nursing Certification - Varies; Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC) within 2 years - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC); Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), Education: Bachelor's Degree: Nursing (Required), Work Experience: Nursing
Responsibilities

Facilitates Magnet document preparations, submission, and site visits. As defined by ANCC, is the Magnet Program Director (MPD) for CFH.Support professional governance structure in the East region.Advocate for and support professional developmentAssist with nurse recognition programs and scholarships for the east regionFacilitation of Nurse Wellbeing initiatives for the east regionFacilitation of charge nurse and unit nurse leader summit and development for CFHSupports PTAP accreditation processes in the east regionCoach professional governance chairs for success.Coordinates with other MPDs in the systemLeads the writing of the Magnet application every four years.Prepares, analyzes and interprets data and prepares progress reports as required. Prepares documents for Biannual updates, DIF and re-designation.Manages multiple priorities and projects with competing deadlines.Provide project management support; track and maintain schedules and project deliverables. Provides timely project reporting to ensure on-time, on-budget, on-quality standards.Acts as a role model for sharing nursing knowledge through publication and presentation at regional and national meetings/conferences.Professional Development and In-Service Training. Generates quarterly reports to meet regulatory and compliance requirements. Coordinates communication with chairs and committeee leads for Professional Nurse Advancement Program chairs, Daisy Programing, and other recognition programing. Professional consultations. Handles confidential information in a discrete and professional manner. Role models professionalism; uses positive, proactive communication; is approachable; uses well-developed stress management skills; professional presentation reflects Carle's mission, vision and values, creating an environment of trust and collaboration. Support of training for new leaders within the organization Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients. Coordinates with other departments to prepare reports and obtain needed data and documents for Magnet Designation.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $36.66per hour - $63.06per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
