Engineeing Manager

The Maintenance Engineer ensures that any type of equipment is working properly. They are responsible for routine maintenance and that TPM is performed per manufacturers' guidelines. They also troubleshoot problems and make adjustments to maintenance requirements as needed.
The work model for the role is: Onsite. #LI-Onsite.
This role is contributing to the Motion NEMA Motors division in Columbus, MS.
You will be mainly accountable for:
*Defining maintenance plans for new production lines or facilities, and consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment and/or facilities.
*Develop and maintain spare parts and physical inventory control strategy, including stock vs. buy, on demand strategy, and work to communize spare parts across machines
*Solving major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines.
*Proposing improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at reducing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency.
*Tracks downtime and repair costs and formulates maintenance metrics and KPIs to justify major rebuild or new acquisition.
*Responding to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.

• Bachelor's Degree (Preferably in Engineering) and 4+ years related experience in manufacturing and assembly operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience with demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and TPM
• Understanding of and experience with preventative and predictive maintenance and developing maintenance KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, etc).
• Experience developing and maintaining a spare parts inventory and strategy including understanding of engineering drawings and principles.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with automated systems and equipment (PLCs, Robotics, CNC Machines, etc), electrical equipment and components (wiring, panels, etc).
