Job Description:

Trinity University, located in San Antonio, Texas, the nation's 7th largest city, is a small private Liberal Arts institution. International students represent approximately 10% of Trinity's total student population, primarily undergraduate students. Trinity offers a unique residential experience (3-year residency requirement) and Liberal Arts curriculum. Trinity students, faculty, and staff come from more than 50 countries. Trinity's International Student and Scholar Services office is housed within the Center for International Engagement office in the Division of Academic Affairs.

Assists international students and scholars maintain their nonimmigrant status and serves as a Designated School Official (DSO). Ensures Trinity University is in compliance with federal laws and regulations pertaining to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Department of State and other government entities as they relate to international students. Develops programs to assist international students and scholars with cultural adjustment. Assist the ISSS Assistant Director with the management of student records. Supports the international student population by providing nonimmigrant student document preparation, orientation, data management, and support programming.

Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate
Responsible Officer (ARO). Processes data and create
immigration documents for F-1 and J-1 nonimmigrants in
SEVIS:
Initial I-20
Travel Endorsement
I-20 Forms (Initial Attendance, Continued Attendance,CPT, OPT, STEM OPT)
School Transfer to or from TU
Deferred Attendance
Change of Status
Program Extensions
Change of Program
Economic Hardship
Dependent Visitation Documents (F2)
Part-time Study Authorization (RCL)

* Provides advice to international students, prospective students
and exchange visitors in person, via email and phone regarding
immigration, cultural, and interpersonal and/or educational
issues, and assists students in identifying and accessing other
resources as needed while maintaining sensitivity to people of

unique backgrounds.
* Ensures SEVIS registration reporting at the start of each term
is completed in a timely manner.

* Collaborates with stakeholders across campus to lead events
and programming for international students and scholars such
as International Student Orientation (ISO), International
Education Week (IEW), Tiger Stripes event series and more.

* Update and maintain the ISSS Social media account(s).
