Position Summary:

This individual works within the Machine Maintenance Department and has a wide range of responsibilities. The Maintenance Coordinator reports to the Machine Maintenance Manager and must work well in a team environment. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the key elements of a work order process, e.g. notification, planning, scheduling, execution, closure. Function as the primary point person to the site organization for maintenance repairs and work status. Focus on maximizing efficiency of the maintenance workflow to achieve completion of work in the minimum time needed and with quality work results. This individual must work well with other trades, disciplines, facilities personnel, and always keep in mind that our goal is to support manufacturing, production, and all other internal customers. This is a "hands on" position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Coordination of PM's with Maintenance manager for manpower assignments.
  • Auditing of PM's in CMMS (Computerized Monitored Maintenance System) program.
  • Interface with Machine maintenance team on predictive maintenance program.
  • Identify trends with equipment, workload, etc.
  • Maintain/troubleshoot the tool for Critical Facility Engineers.
  • Coordinate with logistics team for spare parts inventory assessment.
  • Review/update/maintain equipment lists.
  • Yearly review of Preventive Maintenance schedules and identify variances between sites.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to department Manager & Machining support director.
  • Site safety committee member.
  • Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished.
  • Escalate issues to maintenance Manager as needed
  • Must be able to work on several projects at a time, to meet the needs of a rapidly changing environment.


Education/Experience & Skills:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years Good administrative and organizational role.
  • Must be self-motivated, confident, highly dependable, and have solid follow- up skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with computer-based maintenance management systems, (E.Maintenance).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Experiencing with planning, scheduling, organization, direction, and coordination of the work of skilled tradesmen.
  • Capacity to enhance and maintain cooperative working relationships between Maintenance Team members, production employees, plant management, and Engineering
  • Ability to interact with other departments to gain access to necessary information
  • Ability to multitask.


Working Conditions:



  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
  • Work is primarily standing (90 + % of the shift) except for lunch and break periods.
  • Shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours.
  • The duties of this job normally require exposure to a typical manufacturing environment. Frequent standing, sitting, stooping/squatting, walking, and stair climbing can be expected along with frequent lifting and/or moving of tooling, parts containers, and materials up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently at a minimum of 50% of the shift, as well as undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions.
  • Must demonstrate proficient fine motor skills, ability to grip, reach, pull, turn, and use tools to torque fixtures in various machinery or in the assembly, machining, or testing of parts.
  • Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception, and the ability to focus on fine print.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. security mandates.
