Position Summary:

This individual works within the Facilities Department and has a wide range of responsibilities. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for general building maintenance in a modern industrial manufacturing and office facility. They will work autonomously under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor and must work well in a team environment. This individual must work well with other trades, disciplines facilities personal, and always keep in mind our goal is to support manufacturing, production, and all internal personal. This is a "hands on" position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Facilities duties would include but not limited to:



  • Operate multiple equipment including but not limited to; powered industrial trucks, aerial lifts, and light commercial vehicles including plow trucks.
  • Conduct physical inspections of the facility, grounds, premises, common areas, restrooms, etc.
  • Must be able to work on several projects at a time to meet the needs of a rapidly changing environment. That includes prioritizing work orders, handling urgent requests, responding to facility supervisor as required, and complete all other duties as assigned.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspection of assigned equipment in accordance with maintenance schedule and factory specifications. Reports findings and take appropriate actions for repair.
  • Ability to supervise outside contractors and tradespersons.
  • Assist other departments when needed.
  • Aiding in manufacturing production equipment repairs.
  • May be prohibited from growing facial hair for respiratory fitment.
  • Foster and demonstrate a positive team environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers and contractors.
  • This position is a traveling position and must travel between all NH sig locations per schedule. Currently those locations are Epping, Exeter, Newington, Dover, Rochester.
  • Miscellaneous maintenance duties to ensure we are production ready at all times.


This individual will need the Basic skills and knowledge to work outside of normal Facilities duties, these include but are not limited to:



  • Reading drawings/ blueprints
  • Drywall repair and painting
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • HVAC
  • Carpentry
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting
  • Assembly and disassembly of cubicle systems
  • Inventory management
  • Snow removal
  • Computerized Building Automation/Management Systems
  • Miscellaneous Maintenance duties to ensure we are production ready at all times


    All though rare, this position must be able to respond to emergencies 24/7. Some projects may require temporary shift changes or other modifications to work hours.

    Education/Experience & Skills:



    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Proficient with computers for email and maintenance management systems.


    Working Conditions:



    • Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
    • Work is primarily standing (90 + % of the shift) except for lunch and break periods.
    • Shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours.
    • The duties of this job normally require exposure to a typical manufacturing environment. Frequent standing, sitting, stooping/squatting, walking, and stair climbing can be expected along with frequent lifting and/or moving of tooling, parts containers, and materials up to 50 pounds.
    • Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently at a minimum of 50% of the shift, as well as undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions.
    • Must demonstrate proficient fine motor skills, ability to grip, reach, pull, turn, and use tools to torque fixtures in various machinery or in the assembly, machining, or testing of parts.
    • Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception, and the ability to focus on fine print.
    • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
    • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. security mandates.
