Senior Production Supervisor (first shift)

Position Summary:

The Senior Production Supervisor oversees daily production operations, ensuring schedules are met, quality standards maintained, and safety protocols followed. They lead and support a team of production workers, acting as a role model for professional behavior and accountability. Responsibilities include mentoring and training staff, conducting performance reviews, and managing tier board meetings to track and improve key performance indicators (KPIs). This is a first shift position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign and execute production schedules, ensuring materials are available.
• Use lean and kaizen to improve processes and reduce turnaround times.
• Focus on maintenance to increase uptime and equipment effectiveness.
• Promote safety and quality while adhering to standards.
• Ensure compliance with policies and provide performance feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and support 5S principles.
• Resolve performance issues with HR coordination.
• Complete corrective actions to improve the area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent work experience, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant production experience
• Prior supervisory experience
• Practical knowledge of aircraft components, machining, welding, inspection, and related disciplines
• Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability
• Problem solving and organizational skills
• Six Sigma Greenbelt/Blackbelt preferred
• Ability to obtain a Repairman Certificate

• Strong computer skills; including Excel, PowerPoint etc.
