Overview

A senior underwriting assistant helps to assist the underwriters in elevating the insurance applications, resolving data disc managing and processing policies, communicating with clients and brokers and changes and renewals

Responsibilities

Utilize cutting-edge technology and advanced analytical tools to accurately calculate complex rates and premiums for endorsements and cancellations, optimizing data transmission and renewal monitoring efficiency.

Oversee a portfolio of high-value accounts, proactively managing agents' inquiries, complaints, and requests, ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines, and offering strategic insights to underwriters.
Perform thorough risk assessments, offer decision-making support to underwriters, and lead project management initiatives to improve underwriting efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

2-3 years of experience in underwriting, with proficiency in underwriting software such as XYZ
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Exposure to carrier insurance industry with hands-on experience in policy analysis and risk assessment
Demonstrated interest in advancing career in underwriting through continuous learning and professional development
Ability to do a hybrid schedule out of Chicago or Kansans city
Flexibility to work with others
Pay range $22-$33/hr
