The current scope of work includes behavioral health, child health & well-being, community health systems development, health & health care financing, health in all policies, health systems transformation, long-term services & support, population & global health, and rural health. The center conducts, analyzes, and disseminates qualitative and quantitative research to connect decision-makers with the objective research and guidance needed to make informed decisions about health policy and programs. ABOUT THIS POSITION
The information systems specialist is a contributing member of the workforce development team within the Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health & Wellbeing at the Georgia Health Policy Center. They will oversee daily administration, configuration, and management of the electronic health records system associated with the Intensive Customized Care and High-Fidelity wraparound sponsored projects. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of patient data in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations. Provide technical support for state of Georgia end users, addressing and troubleshooting system-related issues. Coordinate system updates and upgrades, ensuring that the latest functionalities are integrated without disrupting clinical operations. Liaise with information technology teams to facilitate system integration, backup, and disaster recovery processes. Monitor electronic health records system performance and recommend optimizations or modifications. This position will initially support the Intensive Customized Care and High-Fidelity wraparound programs.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Manages the CareLogic transition, installation and upgrades for Georgia partners.
* Maintains information systems including Pentaho and Looker by planning, monitoring and coordinating CME end users
* Assists in conducting and reporting results of application and performance testing; provides quality assurance review of all application and system testing
* Develops a sustainable application management support plan including resourcing and documentation
* Works with the integration and technical leads in the integration, data migration and device strategy, design, and decisions
* Facilitates data for decision-making and sense-making sessions with diverse stakeholders. Strengthens the capacity of program partners to utilize several types of data and information available to them for decision-making and evaluative purposes
* Creates reports, programs, business activity monitoring, and business process management as well as add-on applications to perform small features on enterprise resources planning system
* Assesses information systems results by auditing their application and results
* Provides technical support to users, addressing and troubleshooting system-related issues
* Partners and collaborates with leadership and users to identify opportunities for added electronic health records efficiencies in health center operations, clinical practice support, and billing services
* Tme allocation: information systems (40%), project management (45%), supervision (10%) and other duties as assigned (5%).

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.


Preferred Hiring Requirements:



  • It is expected that the candidate will have knowledge and experience in with security of patient data in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
  • Previous experience working with stakeholder groups, meeting design and facilitation, strong writing and communication skills, and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Human Subjects Research guidelines and Institutional Review Board processes, Qualtrics, WebEx, SAS, SPSS, R, and Stata is preferred.
  • Networking skills and aptitude for representing GHPC with local, state, and national organizations is also desired.
  • Experience in data management, report writing and knowledge of Careogic Enterprise.
