This is a management role within the CPSG Branch function. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers in order to ensure highest level of customer service and identify selling opportunities; build and maintain deep knowledge of regional marketplace and market participants; interpret and apply CPSG strategy accordingly; direct selling activities of branch personnel to align with regional and national strategy, and (ii) Responsible for developing and improving the capabilities of Branch Managers and other key regional positions; ensure branch managers are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities, and resources in order to meet branch objectives. Requires 7+ years experience in a high volume warehouse environment or similar industry; 5+ years of customer account management or equivalent sales experience; experience managing budgets and/or costs of business unit; prior experience with an ERP or similar business software; 3+ years experience growing a market; prior people management experience and a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Associate Manager, Area Branch Management Overview:

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers in order to ensure highest level of customer service and identify selling opportunities; build and maintain deep knowledge of regional marketplace and market participants; interpret and apply CPSG strategy accordingly; direct selling activities of branch personnel to align with regional and national strategy

  • Responsible for developing and improving the capabilities of Branch Managers and other key regional positions; ensure branch managers are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities, and resources in order to meet branch objectives

  • Support region's P&L and financial goals through regular monitoring of adherence to budget, and achievement of goals and objectives; collaborates with other Regional Managers to incorporate best practices; ensure that Branch managers are aware of performance trends and are working toward achieving branch objectives, goals and budgetary metrics

  • Manage all branch related capacity constrains including but not limited to people, space, and equipment to ensure customer demand is met while consider future labor and capital planning

  • Collaborate with Executive management to develop Regional sales and operational strategy, and annual budget with the intention of expanding region's market share through regular business development efforts

  • Provide customer resolution and troubleshooting for the most complex business issues in order to support businesses within the region

  • Drive transformation by implementing tools which will maximize employee engagement while dramatically improving customer experience

  • Mentor branch management on use systemic identification of root cause of process deviations to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction

  • Uphold and enforce safety standards, policies, practices, visual aids, and procedures across all branches in the region to ensure the safety of all employees, customers and supplier partners

  • Accomplish and report overall Continuous Improvement activities within your facility to ensure that annual budget goals are met

  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams

  • Protect CPSG's reputation by keeping information confidential

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed

Associate Manager, Area Branch Management Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years experience in a high volume warehouse environment or similar industry; 5+ years of customer account management or equivalent sales experience; experience managing budgets and/or costs of business unit; prior experience with an ERP or similar business software; 3+ years experience growing a market; prior people management experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to travel up to 25% within Region; valid driver's license Strong Analytical Skills

The payrange/rate of pay for this position is $86,100.00 - $140,250.00; base payoffered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
