The Engineering COO Office's Portfolio, Strategy, and Management (PSM) Pillar partners with engineering teams across the firm to drive strategic execution of engineering priorities. Our team is responsible for designing and implementing governance mechanisms (i.e., Working Backwards), technology solutions, and best practices that will support the firm's engineering strategic themes to further enhance clients' experience and the firm's operational efficiency.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will work cross-functionally to help drive projects and programs covering working backwards mechanisms to ensure that our services scale to meet diverse client requirements. You will work backwards from the client to solve technical challenges. You will be responsible for coordinating with program leads on all aspects of a technical program's life cycles to deliver them in a successful and timely manner.

This role offers a high-profile opportunity to lead projects which involve partnership with multiple businesses within the firm as well as engineering leadership.

Your key responsibilities would include:



  • Making project decisions and achieving tactical goals while retaining strategic focus.
  • Soliciting stakeholder input and coordinating amongst multiple groups to inform requirements.
  • Driving consensus and influencing at all levels and across functions.
  • Managing communication, including dissemination of project documentation, status reports, meeting notes, etc.
  • Providing structure by building detailed program plans, and identifying, monitoring, and tracking key deliverables and progress.
  • Proactively identifying upcoming risks, issues, and bottlenecks and resolving issues that cross organizational boundaries.
  • Contributing to executive presentations, status reporting, and dashboards to ensure transparency.
  • Partnering with technology teams and other groups to ensure project risks (e.g., execution, technology, license) are identified and addressed
  • Being a self-directed team player with the ability to drive high performance and work independently and in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • Managing multiple complex, time-sensitive projects with multiple senior stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Being flexible to contribute to other activities within the group where necessary (e.g., project management training, developing communications, steering group coordination).



QUALIFICATIONS

A successful candidate will possess:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 2-3 years of program management or program governance experience in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Functional knowledge of business and program management capabilities (Working Backwards process, OKRs, vendor management, financial planning and analysis, scheduling and logistics).
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with a demonstrated understanding of product management processes, artifacts, and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills speaking to technical and business audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency, with the ability to motivate others to deliver.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a focus on execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build consensus across a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Must work well in a global team, multi-tasking environment and under pressure.
  • Adaptability and being comfortable with uncertainty.
  • Proficiency in low code applications like SmartSheet and Alteryx is a plus.
  • Experience with Data Visualization and Business Intelligence tools (QlikSense, Tableau, etc.), is a plus.
