Job Description

Kearney University (KU) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to primarily focus on managing day-to-day operations and complex learning and development (L&D) projects. This role will be instrumental in driving KU's strategic initiatives, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of training programs that support Kearney & Company's business objectives and professional development goals.

The Project Manager will work closely with the KU leadership team, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget compliance. This position requires a proactive leader with strong project management expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end management of KU projects, including training program development, system enhancements, and strategic learning initiatives
  • Stakeholder Management: Partner with KU leadership, subject matter experts (SMEs), and internal departments to define project goals, deliverables, and timelines
  • Planning & Execution: Develop and execute detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, budget, and risk mitigation
  • Resource Coordination: Manage cross-functional project teams, including internal staff, external vendors, and contractors, to ensure alignment and accountability
  • Performance Monitoring: Track project progress, manage risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to meet project milestones
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide regular project updates to KU leadership and key stakeholders, including status reports, performance metrics, and recommendations
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices to improve project delivery efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Project Management, Instructional Design, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience, preferably in L&D, corporate training, and/or professional services
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams, SharePoint)
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. clearance which requires U.S. citizenship

Preferred:

  • Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Experience in government contracting, compliance, or financial services is a plus

The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $100,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
