We have expanded our HR function (aka the "Talent Team") to support our organization's growth and currently have an opening for a Senior Employee Relations Specialist/ HRBP. The Employee Relations Specialist will be a companywide resource. It will also serve as a people-forward business partner to our Commercial Stormwater (CSW) division, and reports to our Director of Employee Relations and Special Programs.

This role involves delivering HR operations and solutions support within the CSW division, and driving HR initiatives that support business success, with a heavy focus on investigating and resolving employee relations issues. We are looking for a skilled HR professional who can partner with division leadership to address challenges within the business unit as we evolve. Therefore, the ability to influence and work collaboratively across all levels of the organization is essential for this strategic role.


What You'll Do:

  • Be a trusted partner to leaders and employees, offering real-time HR support and guidance.
  • Lead investigations into employee relations concerns, helping ensure fair, thoughtful, and compliant resolutions.
  • Guide and improve exit processes-from surveys to interviews-with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Spot trends in HR data and help turn them into smart policies and solutions that move the business forward.
  • Coach managers and employees alike-because leadership and performance go together.
  • Drive effective performance management processes and support team development initiatives.
  • Ensure policies stay current and compliant, partnering closely with our HR Compliance team.
  • Help manage leave of absence cases and accommodations with empathy and care.
  • Navigate complex workplace issues (like EEO, FMLA, ADA, and more) with confidence and legal know-how.
  • Support learning and development efforts by identifying needs and shaping meaningful training experiences.
  • Work cross-functionally with COEs like Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, and L&D to deliver full-circle HR support.
  • Jump in on special projects and pitch in during peak times-we're all about teamwork here!
  • Contribute to ongoing HR strategies and help guide the division through change and growth.

What We're Looking For:

  • A bachelor's degree preferably in HR or a related field)
  • 6+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years focused on employee relations or in a senior HR business partner role
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus
  • Well-versed in employment law with a solid understanding of effective HR strategies.
  • A problem-solving approach with leadership experience and sharp business sense
