Location:Carroll, IA (51401) Job ID: #70865 Pay Range: $16 - 20 1st Shift - M-F, 600am - 200pm 2nd Shift - M-F, 200pm - 1100pm 3rd Shift - M-F, 1100pm - 700am All work is On-site & Fulltime Open to Candidates with US Citizenship or Permanent Residency Number of Openings: 8 jobs open THE COMPANY - Work with one of the Largest American Owned Aerospace & Defense Companies. * * * NOTE: Mechanical Assembly / Machine Operations Entry Level. Deburring experience is a Plus. Will consider any experience, high school shop classes, Tech School Training, Vocations School Training, similar Military Training or Military experience, Wood Workers, Production Machine Operators, Manufacturing Machine Operators, Hobby Fabricators and other skills will be considered. Work Summary: * 2nd Shift Mechanical Assembler (Deburring) is an Entry-Level Position. * Plans and performs a variety of mechanical assembly, tests, fabrications, and inspection operations on various products in standard and nonstandard environments to maintain flow of work. * The purpose for an Entry-level Operator at this level is to gain a basic understanding of Deburring & Air Grinding Machine Operations. * Operators must obtain a basic level knowledge to deburr and clean parts in a manner necessary to produce precision parts. * Follows established standard work under general supervision in efforts to obtain certification. * After Training a Training Period the Goal is to Earn Certification. * The operator will typically refer problems or deviations to more experienced operators including Lead Technicians, Supervisors, or engineers. Environment: * Cleanest manufacturing facility possible, climate controlled, 72F and sunny inside. * Strong (EHS) Environmental Health & Safety Standards in the Facility. Primary Responsibilities: * Reads, interprets & follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, (BOMs) bills of materials, and other written instructions. * Operates tools & equipment - hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment. * Maintains inventory of product in workstations. * Performs Quality Work Checks, Identifies Product Defects and Records Identified Defects. * Reworks and/or Repairs Assembled Equipment and Products according to engineering specification changes. * Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. * Ability to lift, up to 40 lbs.AND must be able to work in a sitting position up to 8 hours per day. * Exhibits Good Leadership Behaviors and Values. * Supports and follows all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality and CI functions as set by assigned leader and position * Perform other duties as assigned including working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business. * Be on time and at work every day - Attendance & being punctual is expected * US Citizen and US Person candidates permitted Other Requirements: * Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident * Must have a High School Diploma or GED * Must be able to Train on 1st Shift and then move to 2nd or 3rd Shift *Must have good tenure and be employed for a good length of time * Be willing to work over time once trained. * Good Math or "Shop Math" Skills are A Big Plus * Pass a drug test & background check Benefits provided: 401K,medical, dental, and vision, sick time as applicable to state law.
