Snowflake Professional Services is the implementation and strategy experts for the Snowflake platform. We engage with customers at all phases of the customer journey to optimize, accelerate, and achieve business outcomes. Our teams of Solutions Architects demonstrate technical leadership everyday by writing code, constructing solution architectures, and guiding customers through decision paths to achieve impactful outcomes. We advise everyone from developers to senior executives on how best to utilize Snowflake to make their business successful.

As a Consulting Manager, you'll bring deep technical expertise in modern data platforms, lead high-impact projects, and guide a team of Senior Solution Architects and Consultants. This role combines hands-on solutioning with team leadership-ideal for data engineering leaders from product companies who are ready to scale their impact.

This is a remote role based in the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and mentor a team of Senior Solution Architects and Consultants through complex, high-value Snowflake implementations.

  • Ensure technical excellence and delivery quality across all engagements.

  • Own and drive key strategic projects (~50% billable utilization target).

  • Serve as the first point of escalation for project delivery issues.

  • Partner with sales to scope and close professional services engagements.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering teams-providing field insights, suggesting product direction, and influencing priorities.

  • Influence go-to-market strategies and internal best practices through cross-functional collaboration.

  • Foster a culture of technical depth, learning, and customer-first thinking.

OUR IDEAL CONSULTING MANAGER WILL HAVE :

Technical Expertise

  • 10+ years in data engineering, cloud platforms, or technical consulting.

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

    • Cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Spark, Iceberg)

    • Data pipelines & ingestion frameworks (Apache NiFi, Informatica, etc.)

    • Large-scale data processing (Hadoop ecosystem)

    • SQL and scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)

    • Data warehousing (Teradata, Oracle, Greenplum, etc.)

    • Analytics tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.)

Leadership & Delivery

  • Experience managing and mentoring technical teams (preferably Senior Solution Architects or technical consultants).

  • Proven ability to deliver complex data platform projects from scoping to execution.

  • Strong customer-facing communication, from engineers to executives.

  • Experience collaborating with product teams to shape roadmap and innovation.

  • Background in solutioning, estimating, and selling services engagements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience at a product company's services org or as a Data Engineering Manager.

  • Cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Snowflake SnowPro Advanced certification.

  • Application development background or industry-specific expertise (e.g., Healthcare, Media, Finance).

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $141,000 - $196,300.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
