We at Juniper Networks are seeking continuing students who are interested in a Hardware Engineering Summer 2025 Internship.

Our team develops and delivers highly complex state-of-the-art routing and switching hardware for next-generation Juniper products.

We're looking for people who are excited about getting a taste of what it's like to work in a highly productive hardware engineering team that is motivated to deliver the very best to our customers. Working directly with the experienced hardware team, you will learn the basics of router architecture, hardware design tools and techniques, and hardware qualification testing that combine to ensure a successful product delivery.

Successful candidates must:



  • Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program, preferably in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar degree, graduating December 2025 or later.
  • Highly motivated, willingness to learn from the best engineers, ability to work well within a team, excellent verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, CPUs/computer architecture, schematic diagrams, component datasheets, linux commands, MS Word/Excel.
  • Experience with oscilloscope measurements



Preferred qualifications for this role include:



  • Experience with schematic capture tools, Allegro Viewer, scripting languages (Perl, Python), JunOS basic commands.
  • Familiarity with SFP/QSFP pluggable optical modules, SERDES technology, L2/L3 networking concepts. Understanding of PCIe, I2C, Ethernet signaling.

Minimum Salary: $73,920.70

Maximum Salary:$106,260.49

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $73,920.70 and $106,260.49/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
