The Opportunity

The Institute for Simulation and Training (IST) in the Office of Research (OOR) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for the position of assistant in Research Software Development. This is a contracts and grants (C&G) funded position with the U.S. Army as the current primary sponsor. IST is a leader in providing cutting-edge training technologies that span cybersecurity and its training. The qualified candidate will have opportunities to work with advanced cybersecurity training platforms, automated testing software & automated web technologies, develop automated testing strategies, and participate in an agile-based, rapid-paced, production-oriented team environment. Position is a 12-month, non-tenure-track position reporting to the principal investigator of IST's efforts in this area.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field related to computer science or modeling and simulation and three years of related professional experience.

Demonstration experience in the technical aspects of programming.

Knowledge and experience in a programming language.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization is preferred. Demonstrated experience in web technologies, particularly the use of Selenium or other automation web technologies. Experience in automated testing platforms.
