District Digital Performance Manager Summer Internship

June - August

Hybrid - Metro Detroit Area

$18/Hour

Summary

GP Strategies engages a wide variety of professionals to support automotive OEMs.

The Dealer Digital Performance Specialist (DDPM) has responsibility for supporting the digital execution (process, tools, and strategies) between General Motors and its dealers. They function as a dealer support contact and work collaboratively with them to develop and implement various digital programs. The DDPM is the dealer's first line of defense with digital education and questions. They are the primary point of contact for the dealer across digital initiatives and facilitate the integration of go to market strategy within each of these programs monthly.

Details of the Program:



  • This is a 6-week summer internship.
  • Hybrid local in Metro Detroit area due to occasional meetings on-site
  • Full-time paid position, Monday through Friday
  • Comprehensive training program provided.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Practice being primary point of contact for dealers across digital initiatives for sales and service.
  • Learn to build relationships with dealers remotely.
  • Execute phone and email communications to dealers with their mentor's guidance.
  • Support dealers with issues and resolve questions.
  • Work with vendor partners to close outstanding cases.
  • Support dealers with enrollment in program solutions.
  • Work with dealer to establish and optimize each dealer's digital marketing strategy and plans:


    • Review key digital performance indicators each quarter with dealer and develop action plans.
    • Quarterback ongoing technical support requests.
    • Coordinate dealer website customizations.
    • Escalate key vendor issues for the dealer.
    • Collaborate with Brand/Aftersales teams to drive execution of divisional/go-to-market strategies across key digital focus areas on a high-level basis.
    • Assist in increasing dealer satisfaction with Brand/Aftersales digital initiatives and service providers.




Minimum Education/Experience Required:



  • College Junior going into Senior year, college Seniors preferred.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.
  • Marketing, retail, customer service experience a plus.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining effectiveness in a dynamic, often chaotic environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills that involve:


    • Understanding the audience
    • Communicating an idea or message successfully
    • Presenting information effectively



  • Self-motivated and able to thrive and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products.
