POSITION SUMMARY: As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you'll support a dynamic team focused on optimizing production processes and driving operational improvements. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers with ongoing projects and improvement initiatives
  • Help maintain up-to-date records of tasks and activities using manufacturing cell logs
  • Participate in the design and specification of tooling, equipment, and racking
  • Assist in updating standard work instructions and preparing training materials under guidance from the team
  • Contribute to plant and cell layout updates, including safety and housekeeping maps
  • Support lean manufacturing efforts such as 5S, value stream mapping, and setup reduction
  • Conduct process observations to support time study and standardization work
  • Attend and contribute to Material Review Board (MRB) meetings
  • Help assign default part locations within designated manufacturing cells
  • Engage in continuous improvement and team-based problem solving
  • Support additional tasks as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor
Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Enrolled in a 4-year Engineering degree program with relevant coursework
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or UniGraphics (NX)
  • Highly organized and self-motivated; able to manage time and multitask
  • Comfortable working on-site in a production environment
  • Willingness to walk, bend, sit, and stand for extended periods as needed
