Compensation: $21.50 -$21.50/hour

This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires working on-site with no telecommuting option. You will be expected to live within a commutable distance.

The Grape Assessment Lab is seeking a seasonal courier/lab aide to support our operation and deliver quality chemistry data used for research and production. As a member of our team, you will be exposed to our grape supply and have hands-on experience operating equipment used to process grapes into lab samples. With this position you will travel to different sites and pick up samples and bring back to the lab for our team to process and analyze. To fulfill this position, you will be required to have daily communication with supervisor and stay up to date with email and other various forms of communication platforms. Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness. On certain days under general supervision, you will work in a team who supports maintaining a clean and safe work environment that allows the team to process samples in a timely manner. You will be responsible for setting up equipment and stocking supplies and for clean up after each operation day. Cleaning of location also involves the disposal of grape waste which may require driving to a different site. You will operate machinery independently or alongside colleagues. As most of the work for this position takes place in a wet lab setting, you will be responsible for following all safety procedures and measures pertaining to that work setting. What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma of State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Required to be at least 18 years of age.
  • Required to work overtime, weekends, and any shift, when needed.
  • This position requires seasonal availability for a 7 day work week (8-12 hours per day).
  • Required to lift and move 50 pounds.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
  • Specific vision requirements for this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
