Job Description

Visa is looking for a Sr. Manager, Business Strategy & Operations to administer the resources, tools and technologies necessary to deliver internal and external events and experiences at Visa. Key responsibilities for the Sr. Manager will include management of the following: event tech stack, event intake and ticketing system, cross-functional task force initiatives, event data collection and KPI reporting, complex project initiatives, and shared communication and updates with the wider event organization. This position will report directly to the Sr. Director of Strategy & Operations and will be a thought partner to drive the ongoing development of Visa's Event & Experience Center of Excellence. A successful candidate will be strategically minded, highly organized, tech savvy, knowledgeable about the trends and best practices impacting the event industry, excel at managing sophisticated projects, able to work effectively in a complex organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of inputs into a successful outcome.

Qualifications

* 8+ years of strategy and operations experience, preferably within an enterprise event team, marketing operations team, and or technology company

* Solid understanding of the best practices that are shaping the event industry from technology and tools (Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Swoogo, Tableau, Brightcove, etc.) to effective strategies for managing the full event lifecycle

* Strong understanding of event measurement metrics and methodologies, including implementation of standardized KPIs

* Experience working with creative, event, experiential agencies to drive efficiencies for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Scopes of Work (SOWs) for teams

* Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives related to Visa's evolving event tech stack, including assessing new platform capabilities, building and structuring the platforms based on Visa's needs, creating process and check points to measure engagement and adoptions efforts

* Highly motivated with the ability to react with appropriate urgency to situations that require quick response or turnaround

* Skilled at managing multiple projects and competing priorities in a fluid environment

* Significant operational management skills to ensure efficiency across project roadmaps/plans to optimize business agility, communicate with stakeholders on strategic initiatives status, troubleshoot complexities and problems with solutions

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 142,200.00 to 206,350.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
