The Salvation Army Midland Division Alton Shelter located in Alton, IL, is looking for a Intake Coordinator. This individual will perform the duties of completing intakes on incoming residents, maintain case files, obtain information from clients as needed, and maintain the data base, which includes client data entry, maintaining statistics for monthly reporting, gathering in house stats for number of meals, bed nights, community referrals, and other grant reporting obligations. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week with starting pay of $16.50 per hour. We are located at 116 E 5th St, Alton, IL Essential Functions

Minimum Qualifications High school or equivalent diploma with three years of experience working in social service agency or five years work experience without a diploma. Higher education in psychology, social work, criminal justice or other related field is a plus. Must be a team player, a self-starter, and perform well with minimum supervision. Good communication skills are essential, as well as an ability to work with diverse cultures. Computer skills are desirable. Physical and Working Conditions Must be able to perform the above essential duties. Most work will be indoors in a temperature-controlled environment. Employee Status Full-time: Normal work hours to be determined by supervisors, however, occasional extending hours and other workdays may be required. |
