Protein Technologies Center (PTC) within the Department of Structural Biology is seeking a scientist with experience in CryoEM and protein purification to understand the function and biology of the disease by determining the three-dimensional structures of proteins at atomic resolution.

The PTC is a multidisciplinary team with capabilities in protein engineering, cloning, expression, purification, biophysical analysis of proteins, and structure determination. Cryo-electron microscopy has enabled us to image and obtain structures at high resolutions. This Scientist position is a bench-based role where the Scientist will purify protein, vitrify samples, collect data, process, analyze, and build models. The Scientist will manage projects, collaborate, and contribute to a deeper understanding of biology by analyzing the structures. Responsibilities:

Compensation In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
