Job Title: Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Duty Diesel Truck Service Manager to lead our team of skilled technicians. The ideal candidate will oversee both in-shop and field service operations, ensuring high-quality repairs, efficient workflows, and exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong leader with hands-on experience managing diesel truck maintenance and repair, combined with excellent communication skills to coordinate teams and interact with clients.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage and supervise a team of in-shop and field technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Schedule and prioritize service jobs to meet deadlines and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty diesel trucks meet industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with technicians, customers, and parts suppliers to resolve issues and maintain strong relationships.
  • Monitor inventory, order parts, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely availability of supplies.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and company policies in the shop and field.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide technical expertise as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of service work, including billing, warranties, and customer documentation.


Qualifications:



  • Proven experience as a Service Manager or similar role in the heavy-duty diesel truck industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of diesel truck repair and maintenance, with hands-on experience working with both in-shop and field technicians.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey instructions, updates, and feedback to team members and clients.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of managing diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic software and service management tools preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.
