At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role in Accounting Clerk V pay ranges $22.94 - $25.80.

Summary Description: The Accounting Clerk V will be responsible for providing all levels of management with useful and accurate accounting information on a timely basis via verbal communication or published reports. They will be the admin contact for their responsible areas and handle all request with some assistant and support from the Accounting Supervisor. This is a high volume fast paced environment that requires high analytical, organization and the ability to work independently and in a group.

Accounting

• Perform routine daily tasks with little to no assistance from the Supervisor.
• Be crossed trained and able to complete the task of the other Accounting Clerks on the Admin team. This will enable the team member to assist in the event of a vacancy.
• Be able to connect the upstream and downstream results of the data validated in their daily tactical tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the areas they support including the Leadership Teams.
• Troubleshoot their published reports.
• Be considered the expert of their desk and be able to provide training to others to perform their tasks. This training should not only include the what but also the why.
• Maintain desk documentation. Create and share best practices of the desk and the admin functions. Look for and implement efficiencies on their area of responsibility.
• Analyze data, evaluate trends or patterns, and provide suggestions that inform decision-making or action planning. Providing the Leadership Team with information that assist in changes to operations, processes or decision making.
• Recognize the warning signs of potential problems or issues and work to prevent them.
• Apply accurate logic and common sense in making decisions.
• The team member should be widely accepted as the subject matter expert in their area. Take initiative to stay current in the area and offer credible input in discussions pertaining to the area.

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

• 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment or 1-2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong computer skills including Excel experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities/Competencies:

• Accounting. Report Analysis
• Dairy/Cheese manufacturing experience
• Knowledge and experience working within Microsoft Office programs including excel spreadsheets

Working Relationships:

• This position reports to the Accounting Supervisor.
• All Accounting Department employees will indirectly work with this position.
• This position also interacts regularly with plant and corporate leadership.
